  • the bridge should be at a slight angle from 90 degrees.   This makes the scale length slightly longer for the thicker strings.  This is called compensation.  Compensating for the difference in diameter of the different strings.  I measure the scale length at the thinnest string.  I don't know for sure that this is proper, but it can be easily changed when using a "floating" bridge.

    Somethin noice with that
  • i am not testing that yet, but if that Bridge have rattling problem, i glue beads in slot, when i have found right position.

Why that idea come my mind?
I have seen some CBG´s where bridges assembly is little diagonal.
Usually i glue bridge right angle of strings, but i suppose at it is not allways right, so what is right angle?
I don´t know, maybe it must be find with ears. So here you have possibility change angle :)
  • Using the wooden beads as the saddles? ... Won't the string rattle in the length of the bead? it's not gonna be sitting on a /\ shape.

... or did I miss the point entirely? lol
  • Hopes so, thx Henry :)

maybe somekind longer wooden ball, or little tube is better, it is not wave so easy in slot, i suppose.
  • Brilliant idea!
