I found the box on amazon UK, but sure you could find something similar on your side of the pond. It measures 154 mm x 105 mm x 55 mm, perfect really, and only cost £3.19GBP/$3.96 USD.

I think you are an excellent carver. Your unit fits perfect. I like one preamp for all the guits. I have an ugly still in it’s box that needs to be hacked into a nice box like yours.

Thanks for the encouragement Dave, I appreciate that a lot........but I've got a loooooong way to go before I'll be able to carve wood like you can!

Agree on the 'ugly' bit, hence my notion to try and tidy it up a bit if I could. Also, better as a floor unit to me for similar reasons, as well as being a bit too big to fit on many of the cigar boxes I can find here in the UK.....and obviously this will work with ALL my piezo equipped instruments so saves buying more!

Jumping ahead a bit, here's the box ready for finishing. Jack socket holes recessed and jacks mounted on walnut plates bonded inside the box, corners and edges rounded off, for that 'sucked lozenge' vibe.....!
