  • "Wow", that is one "Sweet Looking Instrument", I hope you can get it to sound as good as it looks   :-)

  • verrrrrrrrry nice .

  • Thanks guys!

  • You know you made a cool thing when your audience is inspired to build something similar. Pretty cool!
  • Beautiful

  • Thanks Dave. I think she has the potential to sound sweet. I need a better bow and better technique but she has a sound similar to a cello with those fat long strings. Still messing around with tunings and string tension. SO far I think it is like a low G tuning. My little amp really brings it to life. The idea was to have the two lowest strings drone and "finger" the higher string for melody with the fingernails of my left hand. So far that has been a challenge because the strings REALLY get moving under the bow and rather than notes I'm getting some pretty sour harmonics. I think it turned out pretty well considering it started as a box and a 6' 1x3 and only a rough plan in my head. The 1x3 was supposed to turn into a piece of trim for the kitchen but it got too close to the workbench! I'll post a vid after I get the bow sorted out.

  • Gorgeous Bluesheart! Bet she sounds sweet.
