you can see some small cracks, which I think appeared after soaking it in bleach to get rid of the smell (next time I think I'd get the bone from a butchers...this was from a pet shop and had horrible gunk stuffed inside it!!)There aren't any cracks where it touches the strings so they don't affect the sound : -)
