  • I just love this one! Used to have a '68 Dodge Pickup called "Boneshaker". Brilliant build!
  • That is absolutely beautiful. Very nice!!!
  • I'm into winding a pup one day too, but so much other stuff to get better at first. If anyone out there has successfully painted a box and had it come up as smooth, even-coloured and hard as a factory solid body I'd love to know how. I lost days on this without a satisfactory conclusion. Used primer, wood grain filler, spray can enamel in many coats and sanded and finally a clear epoxy you have to mix. Looks like done by 5 year old.
  • Hey thanks for your kind words, though Im equally gonna do me a 50s themed american iron type build soon too after seeing this!
Fraid I didnt wind the pup - the credit goes to Juju, and pretty damn awesome they are too! Il get round to having a go at some point though.
The bridge is nothing so spectacular - its a banjo style bridge, which I find are great - they really let the lid move so make for a bright sounding cbg.
Keep up the good work :o)
  • sweet,my buddys got a Rambler emblem on his Tele
  • Thanks Roosterman - a big compliment coming from someone who has built so many great cbg's. Love The Boxer - did you handwire that pup? And is that a cupboard handle for a bridge? And I prefer thru-necks that finish flush with the box and use a tailpiece instead but the shape you put on that one - well, I'm to do one something like that one day. And the headstock on Castrol is beyond deadly.
  • Aw man that is so cool!! Like a 'Airplane' CBG :o)
