BANJO BUILD-OFF

The "Rambler" is a three-string, hubcap banjo. The bowl is made from a 60's Rambler hubcap. The sides are made from two embroidery hoops, and the top is galvanized sheet metal. It has a curved bridge, and a hinge tailpiece.

    My dad had a 64' Rambler 220 and I can not remember for sure, but it seems like the hubcaps might have been like that. A pretty decent car. I cringe now to remember squealing the tires around a curvy and hilly park road.
