AGP #???

AGP #???The idea behind this build was to try and get a combination of a “Canjo Type Sound” and a “Growly Cigar Box Sound”, “a failure on both accounts”.The Cigar Box side is 26inch scale and strung .052NW/ .042NW/ .030NW /,and tuned Dad, the Canjo (Coffe Tin) side is 24inch scale, currently strung .032NW /.018PS / 0.14PS /, and tuned AEa, it was origanlly strung .042NW / .032NW /.024Nw sounded great, but not like a Canjo and still does’t with the lighter strings. Both pickups are hard wired together to OutputJack. The Cigar Box side sounds a bit ordinary, with some of the can sounds coming through, might need lighter strings?, the Coffee Tin, sounds fine in its own right, particularly with the first string gauges used.Thinking about disconnecting them to use as two separate builds, but! am open to any suggestions on string gauges, tunings and wiring etc?????

  • "Thanks" the anonymous pick, I'm going with the separation.

  • "Thanks" Maddog, pretty sure it will be separated into two Gits, but will make another attempt using a few different ideas!!!

  • When the Roo arrives Uncle John just feed him on the Aussie diet of "Meat Pies and Beer"

  • I like it as is, cool concept. Would be nice to fihure it out but it will still make 2 damn fine lookin' gits!

    Good luck with it!

  • It would be a 50 year old can of Roo Uncle. You'd best stick with Roo pee. It's got probiotics... I hear...
  • let   us  know what  ya  do  with it  .  ;-)
