AGP #488 – “Gum ‘n’ Oak”5 String LyreScale: 19 inchesStrings: .018PS .016PS .013PS .012PS 0.11PSTuned: D E G A BThe Box Sides and Bridge are Forest Red Gum, the Box Ends are Yellow Gum and the Bottom and Top Pieces are Red Oak & Poplar 7 mm Plywood.The Bridge is a piece of 26 x 12mm Tasmanian Oak Moulding Tri Quad with Nickel Fretwire, all timber is its natural colour, coated with Blond Shellac.The Piano Tuners are from an old $30 recycled Piano I purchased many years ago.The little Chrome Resonator Cone was a 50 Cent Charity Shop purchase, and a 9.3k Open Humbucker is hard wired to the Output Jack. :-)

  • Thanks for your input & interest BQ, have now dropped the G a half step to F# on both builds, and where I thought it sounded nice before, it now sounds even more nicerer!, "Thank You" for enlightening me! :-)

  • Minor pentatonic would be D F G A C & Major pentatonic would be D E F# A B 

  • "BQ", I'm definitely a Dummy when it comes to Musical Knowledge, but I was led to believe that D E G A B (Low to High) was a Pentatonic Scale of some sort. :-)
