My first build. Not a CBG, but a box guitar, inspired by CBG's.1) Laminated head and through neck: Red Oak and White Pine.2) Red Oak Fretboard with Zero Fret and 18 Frets, 25" Scale Length3) Laminated Floating Bridge: Hard Maple and Red Oak with Hard Maple Saddle.4) 1/2"x3-1/2" Poplar Box with 1/8" Luan top and back.5) Red Oak Tailstock.6)7) D'darrio Heavy Acoustic Phosphor Bronze and Steel Strings "A", "D", "B" and "E" strings - low to high.8) Tuned to Open E: E B E G#; Parlor Style Tuners.9) Body is about 12" x 16".

  • Thanks folks!  I'll try to get some more pictures - different angles, etc. and post 'em up.  I really enjoy playing it.  I may put a piezo rod under the saddle. As of right now, the top is glued on, but the back is held on my (5) screws.  Also thinking about maybe, just maybe, putting an "Original Flatpup - 4" on it.  We'll see... I really do like it acoustically.
