  yeah, the bridge should be in the center of the cone. the resonator works just like a speaker, except that the cone is vibrated by the strings themselves rather than an electromagnetic signal. If you look at commercially available reso cones they look just like a speaker in fact. as far as under the lid goes, just keep anything that might dampen the cone's vibration out of the way.

  That's very cool! Is there anything under the lid? I'm just learning about resonators. Is the key to put the bridge on the resonator?

  thanks man. The resonator is the lid off of a can of peanuts. it sounds pretty nice.
