  • Thanks Ted. I don't have any more pics at the moment but will give a little more info.

I'm a hobbyist woodturner. This is my fifth 3-string Guitar. I got the inspiration for these from a friends cigar box guitar and they've been a lot of fun. The neck was turned by face joining two 6/4 cherry boards with paper between them and turning between centers. The body was turned as a normal lidded bowl. The inlays were turned between centers and the bridge was turned with a flange so it fit in a 1" hole in the body. The bridge floats under the strings and a piezo pickup is attached. Here's a sample.

This one has a cherry neck, a rosewood body and ebony nut/bridge/inlays.

I'm new to playing too so I'm still trying to learn. I bought Jags CD a while back and I'm befuzzled about playing finger style at the moment and usually revert to messing around with slide. The action is a little high on it for it anyway. Hopefully I'll get better one day.

I'll try to take some more pics of the back and profile.
