#32 Body

The body is made from a laminated solid oak shelf from a local hardware store. Cut with a router using a template, sanded and finished by hand.The neck is bolt on, with an aluminium plate. Strings are routed through the body.Tru Oil finish, about 6-7 coats, lightly sanded between. I'm letting it cure for a few more days before giving it a rub down with some old denim.Custom pickguard cut from 3 ply acrylic.

Thanks Shawn. I'm pretty happy with it. I know what you mean about the ferrules. I don't know if you can make out from the picture but they are slightly countersunk. They don't seem to get in the way while playing so I'm fine with them as they are.

Nice job you should be really proud. You should counter bore them string Ferrell down into body well I would it's your baby but again nicely done
