I was happy with it - I did remove the lid and hinges because they fit poorly but ive been happy with the sound. Amplified is a little better than acoustic, but heck - it's a recycled box. :)
How do you like the Padron boxs? I have a couple and was wondering if the thin top flexs under string pressure? It seems like it should make a nice sounding CBG. These both look nice.
Nice Padron! I really like the finish color combo on that. I saw your earlier comment on how you did the cutouts with a Dremel - I'm going to have to give that a try.
Thanks! I hope the speaker will sound nice - it's a simple 4" 10 watt, but with a shielded base that should prevent it from messing with the rest of the amp electronics. Once I pulled it out of the package I realized that it's too deep to fit in the cigar box I was planning to use for the amp case. So the new plan is to build a "box extension" using a thin strip of wood between the lid and base to give it another inch of height.
