  • Ha!  It's just a silly hobby of mine that I've been involved with on different levels since I was a kid.  Kinda like CBG's, you build specific your needs and get creative also.

Here is a couple of other pair I built. Photo was taken at a recent audio get-together I had at my place.

Now, I'm just focusing my attentions on building some CBG's and amps so I can actually learn how to play what I like and not just listen to it ;)

  • say what,!!!   that's well over my head, but i bet it sound's good, it certainly look's good,,

  • Hey Garage Hermit,

Those are a high efficiency 2-way DIY speaker I built for my main audio system. They consist of JBL E145's in a 5-cu-ft bass reflex cabinet and 650Hz round tractrix Edgarhorns for 1" compression drivers. I'm using B&C DE25's on those. What you are seeing off to the left are the crossovers I built for them.  They are in fact driven by SET 2A3  (@3w/channel)  tube amplifiers but you can't see them in that photo.

  • what's the big speaker set up behind the cbg, is that a valve amp on top,??

  • Yes he does!  Also, really a great guy all the way around.

  • Jay builds  very good gits

  • Thanks John, The 3-string is my first CBG and built for me by Jay at Tinyguitars. It's the one that got me hooked.

  • That amp and combo looks great here.
