Cheers dude, really wanted to try and keep the front of the box intact so thought I'd give it a try through the box just stuck a string on and tried it and there was sound!
That's an interesting way to place the pu beneath the lid which I'm sure will still work. Another brilliant idea and application I'll have to try on one of my builds. Looks like you got your joints tight, nice job!
