#25 Fender Champ rebuild

Got the cover plate shaped and glued up. 3 coats of varnish. Now the bridge after firing a wood kiln.

  • Thanks Uncle John, i got the rest of the wood parts made today. Jack plate cover, bridge and nut. Just gave them the 2nd coat of varnish. Starting to tack stuff down with screws. Photos tomorrow.

  • A friend at my music shop suggested Nickel Rockers, GHS electrics, Custom Medium with 011 as the high string. This set works great and gives me a mellow Hawaiian sound out of my vintage machines and my home mades as well. They run $10 a set. I'll bet they will work great on your beauty.
