  Thanks John..........yes, I learned pretty fast that the bridge placement has so much to do with the sound. This one did good plugged in but was weak unplugged.

  Fretless 3s are the mainstays.   Does not matter plugged in, but unplugged, it would likely sound better if that saddle was inboard -toward the neck an inch and a half or so.
