Made this last evening with only hand tools. Hand crank drill, hand saw, chisel, screw driver, awl, rasp, sand paper, and a pencil. I did not use a rule, by eye or tick stick. I am a carpenter for over 40 years and this building style is the way to go for this 2 stringer
