Yup. Most folks use a neck off a factory built. Doing your own is tough.
I have done one or two and they were not good...
I had a 2 week deadline to meet and it was a fun challenge, figuring out how to make a 6 string. Thx Uncle John!
A true home made six and a nice job of it.
