  • UJ I'd love to find a Terraplane but like you say it's the holy Grail very hard to find. Goin' to a swap meet in March maybe find one there.

  • I like all the old time caps, but a Terraplane might be the holey Grail.

  • Sorry Lil Jimmy, got a Merc but it's from the 70's. I have access to a 49 Chevy just need to work out a price with the guy, hopefully coming soon. Always on the prowl for one of the oldies, would love to find something like an old Studebaker.

  • Being an avid motor head and now CBG hero, you got me with this one. My sit down slide has a brass 48 Maine plate off my 48 Ford panel truck! Hmmm, have 49 Merc cap hanging in the garage!

  • Patina, Patina, where you been so long.   Gary if you and Stephen would wear Uncle John's Pawn Shop shirts, message me your sizes and your (Gary's) address.

  • Thanks UJ, lotta fun with the old caps. This one had sooooo much "patina"on it, I had to scrape it with a razor blade.

  • Love the hub cap and build.  Nice saddle.

  • Very cool how you cut the hub cap to preserve and center the PLYMOUTH logo lettering. I do have a few questions, please. I'm guessing you used a piezo? Where is it mounted. Is the back open. How does she sound?
