  • Yes, much fuller. There's a lot going on, and the octave pairing on the bass string helps the melody hold if you pick it up on that string for a while. I have used lighter strings on the other dual builds, so the extra weight is a nice change.

    It should read cC-GG-cc, like you said.

    Cool sound hole and finish (thanks for sharing the details on that at Builders YahooGroup). Thanks for including the details on scale length, string weight, and tuning that almost everyone else leaves out. Just curious as to the choice of tuning; I would have expected a CGC (a whole step below DAD). Do you find that doubling all the strings gives a fuller sound?
