Tuners work fine. I didnt belive it myself. But they work! Really easy to tune also...maybe little hard for starters...as they very sensitive. But they hold the tencion. I dont know what they do..if you try overtune strings. So i recomend to try them out. I used M8 bolts. I belive M6 also would do the work, but M8 head (loop?) is bigger and you don`t have to apply so much forse for tuning (leverage system)
