The "gripper" part is carved so that you have to twist the guitar slightly as you lift it. There is no way it will fall off even in an earthquake. the rest is all made from one pc of maple. I cut the corners off and used them for the gussets. The angle is 12 deg.
I made this hanger from pallet wood. It holds picks & slide on top. The fossil has features on both sides so I mounted it sticking out so both are visible.
