Wren House, Diddley Bird, Shovel

Gift from Maddog! Wren house built on a shovel with tuner string and 'U.J.' wood burned by the tuner.Tuned to B (for birdy). Acoustic. Short scale. Not a lot of volume, but nice chirpy tone.

    All this talk of poulty, whoops, sorry ! Poetry has reminded me of this: 

    I'm not a pheasant plucker                                                                                                       I'm a pheasant plucker's Son ,and                                                                                           I'm only plucking pheasants                                                                                                     Til the pheasant plucker comes.

    A blue bird would be nice, Dave.  We saw one Friday, but not close to our house.

    You'd be well grounded once you dig that bird into your garden. You'd get pecked relentlessly if you played it when occupied... I hear chickens are good pluckers.
