  •  Thank you for that update, Bob. This particular box has the brand pretty deep into the wood. I might try to cover it up, not sure.  i might try that steaming trick of yours pretty soon. Thanks again!

  • Ray, I started another Padron yesterday and the impression was stamped too deep to get all of it raised enough to sand out.   I ended up filling and painting primer on it.  I’m going to paint a Lone Star flag on it  now.  I guess I got lucky on the first two boxes.

  • Beauty Southern. Those big boxes sure make great Gitty’s. And that steaming idea is killer Bob.
  •  That sounds like a really cool trick there Bob. I'll have to try that one out. After seeing some of your work, I'm all ears.

  •  Thank you for the kind comments, UJ. I still haven't decided whether or not to add a little more back-bend to it. Will probably play with it today sometime.

  • Thank you, Ambrose! I have three Padrons, in two sizes and they are all relatively loud and they all sound good acoustically as well as being strong. Love 'em.

  • I steamed the Smoking causes Demons warning on a box I’m working on and it raised the impression enough to fine sand it off without going through the top veneer.

  • Looking good, Ray.  Unified tones, nice heel and a bit of down slope on the neck.

  • Taking shape.  I've got a couple of Padron's that I will convert to CBG's in the future. They are sturdy boxes.
