Picture was an after thought in the back of a tent on a cold day. It is in color, enlarged and framed in our living room. Probably as interesting as I will ever look. So thanks for the compliment. Been building instruments for over fifteen years, writing music, most of a gospel nature and performing around town and at various functions, including our church an others. At seventy one I am happy to keep doing and sharing this passion of mine.

  • 3 String Blues

yes me too....I really don't read the king james version anymore either, its hard to grasp, I just use it to verify stuff from time to time....i like the living bible....but I also read the Revised standard version too, its easy to read too......but those older living bibles read so smooth and nice....God Bless you!

  • 3 String Blues

I agree with you!...that kid rock video was terrible, they teach kids drug use and lots of dangerous things in that video....that was from the darkside.

  • 3 String Blues

Too me it just that he Glorified all the wrong things, white trash or red neck is one thing, but to aspire for it is another....and surly he most know 15 year old boys are watching....why would he make it seem so "cool" those values that will enslave them!....on top of that drug use and to many things to list....he use to be a cool rebel but borderline bad....but still on the right side....but this went all the way to the dark....to sad, I lost alot of respect for him today, just by seeing that one video.

I am serious, He needs prayer, I will be at work today and pray for him to have the Lord convict him and set him on the right path.

  • Wade

Nice work John. He reminds me of an actor who played in old west movies, but I can't put my finger on it!

John, Thanks for the positive comments and recommendations.  I agree re the angle. I think I was trying to use every inch of longer board when I cut the neck. I will try the longer boards  for the straight headstock. I am working on an angled neck CBG and I like that look too.

  • Dave Lynas

Hey Uncle John. Thanks for the very nice note. I’m healing slow but sure. I did a little work in the shop today. I threw a few slides at the pottery Thursday without much pain. I still can’t lay down to sleep. I sleep in a pea pod with my coat under my feet, sleeping bag around me, blanket over that sitting in my chair by the gas fireplace. It’s colder than Pluto but i’m Cozy in my chair. I’ve had lots of time to look at the pics and videos on Nation. Yours are always my favorites. I haven’t been able to make videos lately. My pad got full. I’m working out storage for the stuff on “the Cloud”. I’ll pay for it. 10$ a month, but I can do as much as I want. I got my pad updated and look forward to more videos. I’m itching to get building again. Lots of good old boxes piled up and neck wood saved up. Happy New Year Uncle. May your year be full of music and smiles. .. Dave

  • Dave Lynas

Hi Uncle. Turns out you can throw stuff in the trash but that doesn’t make it go away. I tried that. My computer guy is setting up the cloud storage and when that’s done he will dump it all and I’ll start fresh. Holidays are messing the timing up as he’s away. Soon I hope for clear air. And the sleeping pod is working. I sleep ok and am mending. I’m bored though. I want to build but it’s zero in my shop. I have the electric heater trying to up some heat. Shooting for 20 degrees. :*).. Dave
