I like the individuality of cigar box guitars, I like the fact you can use your imagination when designing them and selecting parts and materials, I like the fact that they depart from conventional notions of the guitar. I like how they reflect the resourcefulness of their builders, particularly where materials and money are limited and so reflect the human desire to make music and I like how this music reflects local culture.
That's interesting and yes please post your pics.... I too have been tinkering with the idea of building, and I have a box for a gauge block set also ! I too have a 31 year old neck from a Les Paul copy minus it's headstock. I can't remember, but was that your photo I saw with the "string thru" & tuners inside the box ? Cracking idea !
