Well it looks spot on for my money, although in my opinion if it aint a lil rough it aint ready...dont think my tiny patience would spread to that will just have to use the howling method of kick a slab a wood round me gravel lol.
  • richard moulds

    Hi Darren, Great sound .

  • Jim Doerr

    Cool guitars!!!!!
  • Jake McCoy

Its a rather large bodied instrument, so I'm not too concerned about that, I'm more concerned about string height.

  • Little Miss Higgins Music

Hi Darren. I saw Morgan Davis play one of your guitars. Fell in love...with the guitar (already being a Morgan Davis fan), and wanted to find out more.

    Thanks!!! Little Miss Higgins

Actually Supro & McKinney are just brand names, Valco was the manufacturer of them both along with National/Oahu& about 3 or 4 morelap steel brands all made fromValco, even the amps.the student models are easy to spot because they're super short(meant for kids-teens)and the pro models are usually square shaped.I haven't seen a McKinney student model before seeing your video,I've only seen their deluxe models, really nice mother of pearl covered stuff with great sounding pickups!!!

Thanks Darren, but you've nailed it with that build, I love the old rustic look, spot on!

  • Uncle John

Well, since our much loved black cat, Elvis, is 16, I will tell Linda that Boozer made it to 18.

Neat on that git with a 12 string sound.   I will go back and try to look for a youtube vid on the guy who gets the vid.   Doc?   Will go see.

  • The Lo-Fi Project

Thanks for adding us! You have some amazing guitars, we really dig what you do!
  • smilingdog1

Looks sharp. I like CBG's that are interesting enough just to pick up and look at as much as they to play.

  • Richey Kay

Thanks for the friend add Darren! I'm a big of your work.

  • Darrel B

Thanks Darren ..  Ive been spending allot of time looking at your work , freakin awesome !  I just finished my 1st one , 3 more in the works . One is a 1958 Manitoba license plate ..  Gonna do piezo rod in the bridge and a humbucker further up ..   Covering the humbucker with the cutout letter is a great idea . Did you just glue / epoxy it down ? I dont imagine that interferes with the sound much or if at all ?

    Thanks again .

  • BobBurt

Great program last night on Global, Congrats
