I must have looked at 2000 photos of CBGs in the past month and I think your builds are among the most creative. I collect indigenous masks so I especially like your 6' upright bass.
Glad to meet you Daniel. We will have to get together and swap ideas. There is a mobile site for a smart phone if you have one. Looking forward to future discussions.
I’d be glad to be a friend. Look in the box with your personal info. There’s a thingy there to push saying friend request. Just touch it and make your request. Easy.
Hi Daniel ! ever heard of a Hurdy Gurdy a wheel fiddle? its a four string two drone strings play tuned A D -AG and the other two strings are played whit push keys ! low and high two rows one for every string !
Hi here is a other Drone wheel in a cigar box, if you know a E-Bow a sort of codley&Cream kind of electronic string bow (its for electric guitars) Then this is the Analog version so to speak turned by hand Unison 4 voice European known as the Hurdy Gurdy (You know Donavan?)it started in the Middel Ages Verry Old But still Made Today !! Greeetings to Ye ! Daniel Have a Nice One !
Me think 009 on the hi E if you use it if you go for a 3 tree string i say not to thick to but it all dipends on your playing style if your sliding and you like a long sustain you take o 011 for a hi E if you use em ! have a look also on my page in the blog on strings maybee you read some that brings you on track ! Oke otherwise please specifi ! Greeeeettsszz A.D.

As far as sawmill lumber, the person who cuts my logs has a set up similar to what is in your picture just larger but can still be trailered. to keep from warping you need to put stacker strips in between each layer you stack. the strips don't need to be large just enough to allow air circulation. Then lay something substantial on top , blocks or whatever you have laying around. I usually allow mine to dry for 2 years and haven't had any trouble. I currently have oak, ash, locust and sasafrass dry and ready to go. Probably close to 400 bdft of lumber, cheapest way to get material to build with.
