Effects Pedals

Currently working on a few prototypes for some guitar effects pedals. I have my Fuzz pedal back from testing currently. Going to swap out transistors for something a bit hotter.

The current transistors are BC108. And I will be trying out some BC108C this time around. It is essentially a Fuzz Face with a few changes, and a whole different PCB layout.

I enjoy working on electronics. It is definitely a passion of mine! I have a couple more pedals that I have already built. And a bunch more that I would like to build!

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

    ILL GREEN,

I will have some in the future! Just getting started. But yes, that is on the "To Do List" for sure! Even have a few good pickers lined up from around the Cimarron River Valley. So it shouldn't disappoint!

Have you tried a lower gain transistor for the 1st stage? Something like BC337-16 or BC547A with an hfe of (100-250) will tame the over saturation of the 1st transistor common in the FF circuit, making it smoother & more versatile? Lots of boutique style FF clones use this combo, it basically tightens things up & adds focus to fast play & single note runs. Cheers :)

    BrianQ,

I will look into that when I get back on that project! I will get my hands on some of those transistors! I got 10K and 50K trim pots to replace the 8K2 and 33K resistors with. That should help with getting things just right!
