What's a good replacement jack socket for an instrument with the jack socket mounted flush on the pickguard? In many cases the rout isn't deep enough for a regular Switchcraft, and most of these…Continue

Hi Pick; Yes, it does. At first I thought it was a fluke but then realized that was just how the company spelled it. I will now keep my radar up for more "treasures".
Nice Ron . Does it have the misspelled "GUITER" on the back tag ?
A little De-Oxit spray into the pot along the shaft will fix that up. Nice find.
I forgot to mention it is a Teisco model S. There is a video on youtube of James Kerr playing one very similar to this, I wrote to him with photos and he said it was probably c.1959 - 1964.
thats a yummy brent .
Guitarfetish.com has bodies and necks for 6 string guitars and bass. They sometimes have violin shaped bodies for cheap. However, their wood products can be hit or miss when it comes to quality, but someone that knows how to fix them can get a real bargain. I've bought 3 necks from them, 1 required little work, 1 required a small amount of work and the other required a lot of work. So it can be a gamble, but the necks were $25 - $30 a piece plus shipping. Shipping was about the same or a little more.
BTW their pickups are pretty good.
Paul , i tell myself that every time i build one (for others ) lol.
i should listen to me . ;-)
You need to make yourself a CGB(bass or baritone) and come over to the dark side. Hahaha
