This is THE place for woman and girls to connect with each other on the CB Nation. We've got nothin' against the guys, but sometimes it is nice to just chat with the gals - share experiences, ideas, triumphs and challenges. Come on in, Gals!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here.... I hope yall have a safe one.
NightOwl, you are very welcome, you deserve it. You are very talented.
Thanks Diane!
Night Owl has a couple of videos everyone should check out. She is great. I love the songs. I am proud of you, too, Night Owl. Thanks for sharing it with us.
You are very talented, too.
Hey Mama Mojo, very, very nice article. The photo of you is great. Congra. on your article. I knew you had it in you to make a success of this business. I know you are on cloud nine. This article will draw more customers for you, and you will be so busy building; you might have to open up a shop. I am so happy for you. You are a determined and talented special person. I love the guitar you are holding in the photo.
Keep up the great work. I am so proud of you.
I send my love to yall up in the north. Dianne
Hi Gals, I wanted to share my most recent success with you - this is a piece that was published in Delaware Today Magazine re my instruments:
http://www.delawaretoday.com/Delaware-Today/December-2011/Delaware-...
Delaware Today magazine 302 First Profile: Lana Lawrence, also known as
Mama Mojo, makes cigar box banjos and other musical instruments in
Rehoboth Beach
The print version is fabulous with excellent placement and a full page pic of me with one of my guitars! I'm really pleased, over all, with how it came out!
Dianne - glad to see you are back online and that the stitches are out!!! I've been swamped so haven't had much time to be online - either here or on FB.... Thanks for your words of encouragement! Let me know what you think of the article! Best, MM
Hey gals, I am back---------!!!LOL
My stitches in my back were removed this morning, the good news is no more siactic pain in my leg and hip. I am healing fine. Bad news is I can't drive yet, but I will in two more weeks. I still have to wear the back brace, but it is just temporary.
I can't do much, but that is only temporary. I am so blessed, and I thank God for being here.
Laurie Lee, I am so sorry you are going through a hard time right now. I wish I could reach out to you with a million dollars, but I haven't won the lottery. I hope life gets better for you.
Mama Mojo, I am so glad things are going good for you. I know you know first hand bout chronic pain. I knew I couldn't live with the siactic and the phantom pain together. I had to rid myself of one pain if I could. They were successful. After I was home, I had a bad attack with the phantom pain for two days straight. I think it was when the weather changed, turned cooler.
Better days are ahead for all of us. Thank every one of you for thinking of me.
I send my love to my far away friends from S Ga. Dianne
my youngest, the bottom bass drummer,,,,,,a great group of young people....they work hard at it, and we get up extra early each morning as they start an hour ahead of the rest of school. Mom the taxi driver....;-) not the best camera work, but you get the idea,,,,
WOW!!! I missed alot...no posts came thru my gmail till just now...so Zandi, I missed your tropics post, and snooze!:-) You know first hand then....it is the little tiny things that might be our undoing and i'm with Dianne...scared of medical help....!! now it is stte help, I've no plan/ins/$, so i had to go to the county for at us all...my Dad has medi-care and Veterans. I took my son in and they gave him a heavy duty antibiotic even tho he had no sign of a cough, it was a physical....KETEK ..looked it up...for community acquirred pneumonia...just in case??? what are they thinking?? i did not fill the prescrip and make him take, I stay CLEAR of all AB's until I have to take them or die. ....it can cause among other things, ruined kidneys....in one dose--wondered if it filtered down to gov/county levels...give it to the masses, get a kickback.
Dianne...wish you WERE my neighbor so i could lend a hand!!! WOW, what a story......there are numerous sites were you can report adverse drug effects on your own....Doctor/hospitals should too, but you, as patient sure can!!!! maybe the dosage was wrong! well, it is a heck of a way to be made thankful.....and i bet your family IS, that you are still here....same thing happened to my PA in WW2,..routine appendectomy..they administered pain /anesthsia improperly...I think he awoke with too little, then they gave him so much he had seizures.....later a male nurse told him the team thought "he was a goner".....the head Dr, did NOT even mention the episode. .......
I'm OK....having to prive my pauperstatus to the gov to get the medical help....
lost food assist due to son attending college....he has to work 20 hours as well as attend school full time! ....looking into workstudy programs,,,,all work is scarse....no car for him, makes it hard to get a job!LOL.......3 steps forward, and 2 steps back........
I can picture Bubba climbing the ramp...glad you put sides on....Take care, Dianne,...if they gave you antibiotics, and they likely did...be sure and get your system inside built back up after the rounds of it.....probiotics, yogurt, all thos good fighters your gut needs....
a dear friend of many years seeing her mom thru illness......she had pneumonia, has been bedridden for some time....recently went to ER then nursing care.....they have given her a flu shot about 3 weeks ago and now her system is riddled, 4 major infections, and she is told she will die , the ABs are not working...WHY would they give a sick person flu shots, is beyond me....and she may have had TWO flu shots......this year they "determined" seniors need a higher dose of whatever the dubious mix is in the vaccine, and so possible without informed consent of that factoid,,,,,they are getting a "doubled up" dosage.......I'm sticking with Garlic, red root, echinacia, and others....
Hoping you ALL are well, I'm back to the grindstone.......and crunching numbers...the county office LOST my early oct submission of "proofs" to renew my pauperhood status....sensitive info, all (copies, I have originals)...due to self employ, I must lay it all on the line.....grovel, grovel.....it stinks....
Will be sending out powerful good healing thots...!!! Mama mojo said it right,,,pain relief, the ultimate goal..., keep your eye on the prize!
Blessings!:-)
Laurie
Dianne!!!! OMG!!! I am so relieved to hear that you are now alright and that you are on the mend!! What an experience!!
I hope this surgery gives you some relief from the pain and allows you to function better. There is nothing quite like having to deal with chronic pain and sincerely wish you all the best with your recovery.
I actually need to run to catch up on a bunch of stuff, but I wanted to pop back in and respond briefly to your message. Hopefully we can catch up in a more meaningful way one of these days..... Don't be afraid to call me if you need to chat - recovery can be rather boring as well and sometimes it helps to just reach out to a friend!
All my best,
MM
