Hey Linda, I will look on your page. That is a good idea, if you can't find a box like you want, make one, that is what I did.

Thanks for inspiring me. I will try to get back to it this week.

We worked on the barn today. I am worn out. It looks good what we did. We haven't started on the ramp yet, but we do have the material to build it. After the ramp is built, we probably won't be building anymore until the fall. There is another side of the barn that is rottening. In between I might work on the CBG I am nearly through with. It is a Christmas tin.

I hope the other gals check in later. Take care. Dianne

Good morning, Linda. I am so glad you checked in. I am glad you are ok.

I want to see some of these CBGs you have made. Are they on your page?

That is great you are still making them, I have fell by the wayside although I have one nearly made. Life just took over. You are right, it is addicting, and the more you make, the more you learn, and the better you get as a builder.

We didn't have any winter either. The weather is so messed up.

That is great bout Starbucks. Keep it up. That is great what you do with the donations at the Firefighters. You have a good heart.

I watched NightOwl's video again last night on Amazing Grace. She is great. Do you know she talks like me. I had the video going, and my husband heard her talking and thought it was me. Isn't that something?

I saw on the sight where there is a left hand CBG group. I am going to check that out. I have a left handed nephew who plays the guitar. I thought I might try to make him a left handed CBG. I need some pushing to get started. So, all the gals out there, let me hear it from you to push me back building. ok

I am glad you sold one. I have only sold one, too. But I really hadn't tried.

You are welcome. I hope to hear from yall soon. Dianne

Hey Ladies, has it been that long ago since anyone has participated in our group.

Shame on me and everyone. The last few months I changed computer service, and what a mistake that was. I was on the phone talking to the technicians more than my computer was working. Finally, the straw broke the camel's back---I changed back to a land dial tone which works good with no problems.

How is everyone out there? What has been going on? LL, Zandi, Mama Mojo, and the rest give me an update.

Right now it is beautiful weather here in the sixties and seventys---no knats now. I love this weather, I guess it is the cool snap before and after Easter.

My husband and I have been working on replacing some rotton boards on the old barn. It has been something else. I built a heavy door with 1 x 6's treated lumber. That put me in bed for a few days, but I loved building it. It weighs over 150 pounds, I don't know if it will hang, it might be too heavy. Tomorrow we will try to finish the part we started. I have been suffering with a pinched siactic nerve again except this time it is on the opposite side. I can only sleep at night for the pain in my back, hip, and leg. My husband gets so mad at me for doing stuff to hurt my back like helping him with the barn, but I love it even though I know it will hurt me. He doesn't understand, I am not a quiter. Someone told me one time, you can't be a cry baby and tough at the same time. I try to keep going like the bunny rabbit.

Scottie is fine, but Bubba has got an enlarged heart now. We watch him because he has weak spells. Most of the time he feels good.

So, let me know what is going on in your lives. I hope yall are fine.

I hope yall get the chance to check in.

I hope to hear from yall. Take care. Dianne

LL, that is funny bout pooping in the tub.

I got one for you, I didn't do it, but it is a funny story. This little boy was amazed with fire alarms. In every store he went into, he would try to find one. He found one next to the bathroom. He told his Grandma he had to pee, so she took him to the bathroom only to find out he only wanted to see the fire alarm. Then the little boy kept saying I have to poop. Grandma didn't pay him any attention because you knew what he wanted---to see the fire alarm again. But the little boy didn't give up. They were in a grocery store when they were close to the clerk who was putting the milk up on the shelves. At this moment the little boy shouted-----hey man, I am bout to poop all over my myself!!!!! Of course, he wasn't----everyone just laughed at the boy. LOL This is a true story.

We always need some humor in our life.

Hey Zandi, I loved it, I especially loved the old black bearded man with the one len glasses who was sitting on a boat or ship. He really had the beat, and sounded like Otis Redding. He had it going on. I also loved the three horns, I just loved that song. I can't sing or play it like them but it makes me happy when I do play it.

Thanks for sharing it. It made my day.

Zandi--I had a lil friend who grew up near Roswell, NM...I remembered her semi-joking--this was 30 years ago now (could sense the true fear in her telling me--like innermost secret sharing) about the "skies of her youth"...about her family hearing unexplained test firings--she thot likely atomic, her early childhood included memories of "Flaming skies, brilliant skies" she may have lived on a reservation...I'd almost forgotten her share till I read the date of 59. I was only two, and as most people know--those years are sometimes the very first recall, and the memories are FEW..I will make you laugh..I had 3-4 memories that would have been 59, pretty sure..my folks moved alot, so it is somewhat easy to remember the locations and events that took place in each home place, these were my VERY first memories.....#1 --I pooped in the bathtub, and called my mom to come see--to show her was the "cat did" ..LOL..i recall the lil wood potty chair with duckie decals.....#2 awoke middle of the night to find my folks eating avocados at the table and joined them, got some avocado too!!  ..#3 I saw a family friends disabled daughter thru a window,--never saw her ever again--just that odd thru the window view, we "met"--- #4 I stood in the summer dusk in our backyard looking up at a brilliant dusk sky, it was a "show"---not an average sunset...it was multicolored!!! red, orange, purple,..not just a corner, where the sun goes down...,,the whole sky was brilliant! , everyone talked about the sunsets there, then,,,my folks and g'ma took pictures.....in my researching, .....my brain recalled my friends words and I thot about those sunsets, and HERS..my brain takes "pictures"--one way i remember things.........pause for thought, to be sure....Redding is at the top of the Great Sacramento Valley...and lots of air does travel there, depending upon the "prevailing winds"...that's science....who knows if they tracked such things, in 59!....You note how fast Fukushima has left the "news"? and forefront ....and alot of conflicting info surrounding it, a given. Someday perhaps mankind will have a unified view of the value of life and living things....and will abandon the things that could lay waste.....good to keep info "active" at least...all food for thought! Hope you can get the tunes you want, in place...the uploads take awhile depending on file size:-) and I WILL take note, turn down the reverb, LOL..you are not the only one to say less is more (better)

hehehe

Zandi, I love sitting on the dock of the bay. I play and sing it all the time on my guitar. I haven't mastered the CBG yet.
