Hello Mal. I think you could use the box to make a resonator. This box was about that deep.

Hi guys I'm Mal a 69 year old newby frum the uk I have bought a wine box of e bay it measures 14"x8"x4" is this to deep for me to use as a resonator cbg with resonator cone.Mal

Thank you Sandro here is another similar build that  Hollowbelly plays in his latest video. The cover plate and tail piece are hand hammered out of .023 gauge steel It was made out of the same type 2 bottle wine box

Hello here is a 4 string reso that I built from a 2 bottle wine box this is the one that Keni Lee Burgess plays in his Terraplane Blues video on YouTube.

from my experience with a wine box, i can say the sound was beautiful yet very deep... guess it was because of the size of the box. you can go confident and work out a wine box guitar... you won't be disappointed..!
