Every time I try to make a Mill City CBG group, some snippy admin deletes it, but are there enough people from the Minneapolis St. Paul area who want to form a group or at least hang out here on this…Continue

Welcome SlowFoot and welcome to you're newfound addiction, just like Lay's tater chips "You can't build just 1 CBG". I can't say for sure how many I've built but it ain't never enough:-)

Hey all, Phil here from Minneapolis Minnesota. Finally getting off my butt and doing some things on this great site. Just finishing my 2nd build, a 4 string, that I completely built including fretting the neck. That was fun. Never thought I could even attempt that. Looking forward to more!

Hey all, Nebraska here. I live north of Omaha a spell and I searched everywhere for fret wire when I was starting out building CBG's and ended up ordering it from Ben. He's got good wire and the price is right.

When I was starting out, I found a couple repair shops that sold me "sticks" of fretwire.  Most music stores don't have inhouse repair shops.  Ask them where they get their work done and go there.  Most people in the music business are eager to help out beginners.

the best,

Anyone know of a place in or near WI that sells fret wire? I've been to every music store in the Madison area and they just give me places to order it online. I'm about to do my first fret job so I want to be able to make my choice in person rather than guess what I'm getting based on pictures and measurements online. I'm willing to spend a Saturday driving a couple hundred miles for this. Thanks in advance.

I just moved back to the springfield missouri area to be a more active "papa"... been building and playing for 5 years.... Playing the Heritage Music Festival in Mt. Vernon in June... we need to arrange an all Missouri CBG bbg and jam.  Anyone in the KC area look up Kevin Kraft... He's a great guy and organizing a Festival in conjunction with the KC Blues fest....August 26....

If I can lend a hand to my CBG brethren, just text me...

the best,

Wichita (now living in the promised land of Missouri) Sam

Hello from Woodhull IL. originally from Galesburg IL

New to the CBGs. 2 builds. both 3 stringers. One needs redoing cuz not happy with it but that's the fun of it. Can't wait for the weather to break and get in the shop without being cold.
