Boxstock 2013 - The 5th Anniversary!

Yes really - the 5th Boxstock! Quite a feat when you consider what we do is very much still a niche hobby, despite Macca and everyone else jumping on the bandwagon!

This year will see Boxstock going back to its roots. A simple one day event aimed at catching up with freinds, enjoying and playing some homegrown music and sharing a few thoughts and ideas - what could be better than that?

The date: Saturday 26th October 2013

The Venue: The Musician, 42 Crafton Street West, Leicester, LE1 2DE.

The daytime sessions will be free to all, with open mic sessions, trade stands, demos etc and workshops.

The evening gig promises to be a real treat and we already have 3 superb artists booked for your pleasure.

Firstly, after a storming debut at last years Boxstock open mic session, the legend that is VINYLHED,

from Hastings Old Town, we have the twangtastic KING SIZE SLIM, and from the USA (where else?) we bring you multi-instrumentalist JUSTIN JOHNSON - what a line up!

I'll do my best to get there - big changes at work so not sure where i going to be or what I'm going to be doing in October - but I I've not missed one yet and don't plan on missing this one!

Hay Markus - yup be great to have a few extra stands so by all means bring your wares to sell. No charge, just give me a heads up how many tables you'll need :)

great stuff, maybe only 1 table really, i just make amps and guitars.

im also considering running a free open mic with a couple of very special feature acts, in a basement venue near the musician on the friday night (i live in leicester) once its all confirmed ill send you the details if you wanted to spread the word =]
