I havent checked on my group in months! Sorry about that. School's been getting in the way of things. Since a huge part of the history of American Primitive instruments traces back to this fine state, I see no reason why there shouldnt be some sort of cigar box guitar festival here in the great state! Again, sorry about such a late reply.

Hello - I'm a middle school pe teacher and coach!!! But I agree that string instruments of all shapes and sizes are an intregal part of the Mississippi music heritage!!!!! I hope you can get this group going!!!!! I bet there are aplenty of cb geet players in these parts!!!!

I certainly would not doubt it. With the Juke Joint Festival and various other festivals, there will be a few cbg's floating around. I'd like to see a festival specifically for the instrument!

Or a stage dedicated to cb geets and or,one man bands!!!!!!!, this could be done at the juke joint festival and also double decker in oxford which is this weekend...I know we must have more folks from these parts here on cb nation than 3... Geez,,,,,

There are usually at least 2 tents at the JJF that sell them. I do definitely agree that there should be a stage dedicated entirely to the playing of primitive instruments.
