I live in rural NC and I suggest not to be afraid to go into the new type Tobacco shops sprouting up all over & ask them what they do with their empty cigar boxes? I am trying this approach and will report back in a week as to how it is going. I have great hope!
Read more…Here’s an old one that you might have forgotten about? Wood Stain from a few Pantry items: Coffee- (ground) Oil-(food safe) I took a shallow bowl, but a deep plate will also work & poured enough Oil to saturate the Coffee. Mix them around evenly with your fingers. Make sure your wood is smooth & void of all splinters before applying. Apply in a rubbing motion,with the direction of the grain. Let dry & wipe grounds off & repeat or finish with your favorite technique. That’s it! Easy…

Flea market / thrift store etc finds Post pics of the funkiest, coolest and most useful fimds and bargins youve picked up for next to nothing. This weekends flea market trip earned me a mini portable speaker, powered by a 9v battery and works as a great little amp ☺ oh and a brand new hdmi cable. Total cost zero pennies. Dollar Store find, 4” Clamps, 4 of em’, a dollar plus tax?
One in action, they’re not Pro quality, but they hold tight enough to do the job, so a good low budget buy?
Had not taken it out the bag which made it hard to see. The resistor was on it lol
I think you mean capacitor? Tone controls are generally a pot (the turny thing, it's a variable resistor) with a capacitor connected to ground.
However a piezo itself is a capacitor, so maybe they react differently, a picture or two would really help.
