Hi all. Over the years I've built a cigar box, an acoustic uke, and many electric guitars. Recently I saw a video of a band (Homemade Jamz Blues Band) that uses muffler guitars built by their Dad, so…Continue

Hello All.
New to CBG's but not to stringed instruments. I've built around 50+ guitars. Both electric and acoustic. Saw a vid of Samantha Fish just blazing a Stogie Blues CBG and was so intrigued. Accumulating as much info as possible before attempting a build. This looked like the right place to begin. Thanks for adding me to the group.
Welcome to CBN Mike and Doug.Lots of good people here and lots of good info too!
Hi from concrete wa. New here learning lots about cbgs! I have 2 3 string cbgs and I had it for about a month the country roads tenor banjo. I put the banjo in irish tenor tuning gdae
Whats up cbnation. I'm mike from Al, been kinda lurking and to be honest trying to figure out the website from my phone, I just finished my 25 build, as most it took at least ten before I even got an actual music maker and not just a noise maker, I have an Instagram page and FB page @vishootercustoms, we do cbg's and about any kind of wood work. I've built and sold a few just got a retail spot for my cbg's which is exciting as hell to me! We also do vending for events and just got a permanent vending spot for all of our wood working cbg's and my ladies epoxy creations. I'm super excited to kind of figure out how to use the site. I figured out how to post pics a while ago and many of you have been gracious enough to drop a like or word of encouragement, for that I'm thankful! Thanks for letting me be part of this awesome culture.
Hi, I'm Stefan from Germany. Playing guitar for 40 years I've build my first CBG (4 stringer) in 2018. The thing came out not perfect but sounded awsome (for my ears - haha). Now I'll start more advanced builds.
Happy new year @ all
Howdy Keith. Welcome to a fun double hobby. Making playable instruments and making music. Most of us start fretless and GDG tuning. Google the Knotlenny CBG 101 for a good lesson on that. If you are a long time player, fretted banjos are not too hard to make after you get some experience. DGBE or DGBE fretted four strings or DGB 3 strings are great for someone who already plays. Tapered neck six strings are beyond the skills of most of us.
Hi, I'm Keith, I'm a long time guitar/Banjo player and "wanna-Be" wood worker and have decided to start building my own to give to my friends and family, as of now I'm working on my third CB Git. with hopefully many more to come!! Playing your own hand made instrument is really rewarding!!
Where is the all topic, I could not found
