Smokin' Guitars - New Member Introduction

Hi All,

I've been building CBG's on and off for about 10 years, mostly as a hobby but I've sold a few and invested the proceeds into furthering my addiction. I've started some posts of my early builds on "My Page". Feel free to have a look and comment.

As with most things my adventure into CBG building has been a journey and I continue to challenge myself with ever more complex builds. At the same time I've been learning to play and when the time is right I'll post some videos too.

Hey Mark

Welcome, Ive been building for about 2 years (10 CBG's so far) and been giving them to friends and family. People are now asking me to build for them and I now have my first commision :)  I still play the first one I made even with all the mistakes I made with it!

Started building in 2015 for something new to do. Joined this site because the folks here are interested in what we build and all very helpful.

Last year I sold three CBGs, plus I was commissioned to build a Canjo. The more I build, the better they come out. It is truly a never ending learning experience.

Fun but challenging. I will continue to build, and sell them if somebody wants one. In the meantime I'm just having fun. Hope you are too.
