Sure....... If I get this correctly your saying that the bottom of the can will be the bridge. Two ways you can go here, Ive tried them both. If the nut is already set than measure from where the strings make contact down to the bottom of the can and apply that measurement to your scale calculator. Or, you can pick a scale that works for your neck and can and set the nut in it's correct position. I prefer the first method but I do like to get the scale to work with easy numbers. It's all good, don't sweat it!
On my Foster two stringer I strung and tuned it first and then measured to the bottom of the can. Flat bottom cans seem to pull in with the strings.
