Hey all...
Dunno if there's many of you in Denver, but there's a show coming up this Friday (April 11th) at Lion's Lair (2022 E. Colfax) featuring at least two cigar box playing people.  Yours truly, and A.J. Howdy fella's  just thought id join the group.  Im new to cbg's but am totally hooked on building em.  built three with my grandchildren, and now im building one and so is my daughter who is in college but stops by to spend time with me every day.  while we are hangin out we work on our " projects"  I think she is bit too cause she went out into pueblo and bought a few nice boxes for her , next builds haha.   im working on two right now.  I have a padron box that i made the neck out of oak and im making simple electric. ( personally padron cigars are my favorite)  yes , i smoke cigars every now and then.  so i wanted to make a cbg out of one.  and my really fun one.  my fuente queen bee   gibson haha. I always wanted a les paul. but dont know how to play so i figured id build a 4 string and learn.  so thats where im at. found a neck.  chopped it down to a four string. found vintage les paul tuners two were thrashed so i got em for 20 bones all i needed were four.  found two vintage les paul knobs real ones from the 60's  20 bucks cause the dude only had 2 instead of 4  so along the way im just picking up little bits and pieces. but tons of fun. so thats my intro nice to meet you all.

I live in Parker just started building after I retired last year. I've been productive and built about 50 so far. First few were ok but now they are starting to sound great. Give me a call anytime 303-862-9988 maybe we can get together and share a few thoughts.

I work in parker, just built a vanilla 3 string uncle crow. Sorry I'm not a craftsman to say the least, but I'm interested in something I can play that doesn't sound bad.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to throw a head's up to anyone in Denver, I've got a gig in about a month at the Larimer Lounge (2721 Larimer St).  It's on Sunday, Feb 19th, and doors are at 4pm, I play at 5pm (pretty big bill, but should be a lot of fun).  I'll definitely be playing some cigar box guitar, too... maybe an entire set of CBGs, still not sure.

Tickets are $10 at the door, but I've got some "coupon tickets" which let you get in for five.  You can either hit me up for "real" ones or just print these out (I'm told you can even show the door guy that link on your phone).  And the best part is, the day after is President's Day, so hopefully some of us have the day off! 

I'd be great to see some of you, and meet those of you I haven't yet, and of course any support is always appreciated.
