my tools are pretty basic, basically a power drill, a circular saw, and a collection of old butter knifes that I use for screwdrivers :).
okay, it’s not quite that bad, I have screw drivers.
Anyway, I’m thinking about an upgrade, maybe buying something to help my next build. I’m thinking maybe a router or a table saw, but I want to get the most bang for my buck.
Im probably looking to spend 100$ or so, I was hoping I might get some recommendations from you folks.

I am really happy with my ryobi bandsaw. Just over $100, I suggest getting a spare blade or two. It is
pretty easy to make a fence for it. I clamp my fence in place with a regular clamp. You can make all sorts
of things with it . Small things like bridges. Some fancy cuts with the tilting table.
I would avoid buying a table saw until you can pay around $300 for a better one. In my opinion the
$100. table saws are dangerous and inaccurate.
Also avoid cheap scroll saws as they don't have the power to get through hardwoods.
My absolute 'best bang for the buck' tool upgrade was a Dremel kit-microsaws, polishers, cutting wheels, drills, barrel sanders, etc, Added to my usual pocketknife, planer, micro and macro files and snips, it halved my prep time from start to finish.
Sorry for the time between posts. You guys gave great advice. Turns out that I decided to a dremel tool. When I told my wife that what I planned, she ran into the back room and came back with a dremel. Turns out that we had bought a few years ago to trim the dogs nails. I forgot all about it.
anyway, I’ve been using it for a week it two and it’s working out very well.
