hi everybody, i'm on with my first build and i've come to sawing the frets. have made a jig and tried it with a panel saw, when i try the fret wire in the slot it pushes in with finger pressure, is this too loose? cheers, steve :0)

Too loose, You should need the force of a hammer blow (have a hardwood block spaning the fret between fret and hammer) to fully set the fret.... Any time you can simply squeeze it it, it can just as easily squeeze out....
tight enough it doesn't slip out and it doesn't get loose. something like a panel saw might have been too wide. I have to tap my frets in with a light hammer.
