There's more info at Rootsriot.com about the fest. I posted a lineup on facebbok and a schedule of who is coming.

David Sutton will be on a Fox morning show at 7:30am talking about his CBG book and the fest.

I have secured a table and avid will be at it with me. I have a bunch of guitars I'm bringing but am happy to let other builders there with me...bring what you have!!! I'm just very excited about the event and hope it has a huge turnout. 

If anyone has a load of builds, you may also want to try contacting the organizers thru the rootsriot.com site. A table and deposit was about 50 bucks. But we can make a huge pile of sound at mine. If you do, you have to show me how to play these things better. Hope to see a good representation of Chicago folks there.

Kimmer and mr2kewl, I keep missing this Chi-area stuff... will be gigging in Indiana that entire weekend or I'd have been there. File a report how it went afterwards please!! Bummed. Well, at some point more will be done and hopefully more of us can meet and hang out, etc..

just posted a new discussion thread about the 1st Chicago Cigar Box Guitar Festival and it looks like it will be a the Fatman Bowl. they must have a venue large enough to handle some music there. and, i think they're going to provide spaces for selling from what i read. here's the address.

Checking in with our local chapter. We've been out to lunch for a while. So, there's a Festival happening in Chicago (though Green Oaks isn't quite Chicago) and it's indoors I'm guessing at a bowling alley. There isn't too much info yet and not certain what the plans are for buying, selling, trading, sharing and swapping. I fanzine knows more, fill me in. I have some CBG's I could sell but not enough to manage two days of event or justify what ever the cost may be to set up shop at the fest. If we are able to, would a few folks from the group like too buddy up and perhaps sell some of our work? let me know.

Oh- did the Grafton jam happen? Whew. And my and my Missus 40th anniversary is coming up so I'm out for 2 weeks (yahoo!) and then we're up to Edmonton to do some gigs... but I'd really love to make one of those in Chi-town! Argggh.
