For UK builder who cannot be arsed to solder. Received one of these Piezo's today. All soldered to Jack just drill and place. Worked well in a stomp box and blue tacking to a CBG gave a reasonable sound. £5 with free postage:

I have to second Brian's recommendation of BezDez particularly if you are a Canadian builder. The service is fast and they are really reasonable. For example a set of kluson style machine heads that cost me $38 Canadian sell for $12.50 Canadian. You can get strings, pots, caps, knobs, pups, etc. I wish i had found it sooner. For piezo's - Digi-Key rocks. Great service, fast delivery and piezo's at about a buck a piece. Cheaper than Radio Shack or The Source as it is called here.

Ya'll, go to eBay and order frets from cbgitty (Ben, he's also one of us). $8.59 (all total) for "6 FEET of Medium Fret Wire, for Guitars, Banjos & more!".

The cheapest I found was from Sam Ashe for precut Fender frets in a package $9.

here is a short list that i have from e-bay that are replenished constantly. i have 5 catagories. no.1---- for hardware---tuners,bridges,resonator sound hole covers,strings,lots of guitar stuff.[[[bezdez]]] no.2---- fer great inlay stuff---mop, abalone [mop-is-mother-of-pearl]and they have a mop simulation also fer beter pricing[[[camvan-8801]]] no.3---for cool embellishing parts--- brass copper silver chrome---nice decrative metal corners and such fer enbellishment.[[[lynstock]]] no.4---wood-working supplies and lot of metal screws and metal corners for the top of yer cigar boxes----[[[wiseacresart]]] and no.5---one guy i buy cool cigar boxes from---[[[chuckd1026]]] all of this info comes from e-bay, these are e-bay stores.some of these stores do sell to folks that don,t have e-bay accounts,so that might help out folks that don,t have e-bay accounts.hope this is helpful.

Good idea Scott. I found some thumbwheel pots that look ideal for cbgs. They are rated at 500k and are £3.50 + shipping on ebay NOW!

thanks scott fer the invite,i am always finding great deals on parts and stuff that it takes to make cigar box guitars. i am a bargain hunter,if not for any other reason except that its being frugal.most of the stuff i find has time limits cause its e-bay stuff,but some stuff there is constantly being replinished,so i will post a few great parts stores here in this clubhouse,so everyone has a chance to get the kind of bargains i find.

You know most of the time i can still get better deals buying from the USA and paying the shipping than buying here in the UK - just shows how much us britts get ripped off
