My first 6er. Neck was hand carved out of cherry then stained, fretboard, bridge and pickup ring were made out of the same board.

  • Sweet looking six stringer. Bet it sounds great!

  • 306635951?profile=originalthis is one I built for a fried a few months ago. I have 2 more in the works now. I was my first six.

  • 1st post the the 6 string group and first build, kept it simple, low cost parts. 25.,5 scale , turned out pretty good,. I'm happy with it, my biggest concern was when the neck arrived and i put a straight on it, it was very low at first fret. finally got the truss rod to loosen up and  that fixed it , next issue was exactly where to anchor done the bridge. I loosened the bridge adjusters and put it at 25.5 , , but had t move it back another  1/8  to set intonation right, measured my strat from last fret to the front of the bridge and it's at 6/ 3;4 . i 'll go with that on the next one. last issue was deciding how low to recess the neck joint. ,i cut it so the end of fret board sits on top of the box.. next time i'll leave at least another 1/8 to 3/16ths,. i got the string height right close to the dime/nickel rule I found on the site. I decided to stop messing with before something went wrong. fun to play, sounds good and is super light compared to my strat. plan on making more

My second build.

This is the second CBG I've built.  Used red oak from a big box store for the neck. (It's what I can find and afford).  Wired in a humbucker and a parallel wired pair of piezo disks to aftermarket tele-style controls.  I call it "Old School".

BO Diddly Tribute Guitar

I got a silverware box from Goodwill for 50 cents because the young people running the store didn't know what it was. LOL I bought one awhile back and gave it to my wife to use as a jewelry box, but I decided to use this one to make a 6 string Bo Diddly style guitar.DSCF4034.JPG

Headless Travel Guitar

I like to take along a guitar when we travel, but I worry about banging up a full sized acoustic. After looking over the available Travel guitars, I decided to build my own. The neck and body are constructed from Mahogany. There is no head stock. Instead, the strings are hung at the end of the neck, then run down over the bridge to a set of V-pulleys and into the guitar body where they feed into the tuners. The V bearings are 11.1 mm wide which is the exact string spacing of my other guitars.…

New Build: Metal Body Resonator

Here is a photo of my latest project. It is a metal bodied resonator. The body is constructed from 26 gauge sheet metal (Home Depot special). The neck is hard Maple with a Walnut fret board. This is my second resonator project and my first metal body. Learned a lot about shaping and connecting sheet metal. How does it sound? Exactly how you would expect a metal bodied biscuit resonator to sound. Slightly metallic and very loud. Fun project.
