...you order twice as many tuners as you need and say, "Eh, I'll use them anyway".

...you have a dozen cigar boxes and still want to stop by the cigar shop for more.  (I may miss "the one".)

...you're in a deep conversation with your spouse or significant other.  She is talking about important things like budget or dinner and all you can think about is the new bridge design you've been working on.

...you have 6 to 10 CBGs and you need to make another because they just don't sound/look "right".

...you actually sell a guitar and celebrate by ordering twice as many tuners as you need.

...you consider Home Depot a music store.

...hangin' and twangin' is a legitimate way to spend an evening.

...you try to hammer out every song you've ever heard on a 3 string.  (Some work.  Some don't.)

...you start applying the "no rules" rule to every area of your life!

...you clean out the closet/garage and ask yourself, "How would that look on a git?" before you toss anything in the trash.  (Perhaps a separate bucket.)

...you have no problem adding your DNA (blood) to a build.

...you brag to your friends that you have joined the Nation, Cigar Box Nation that is.

...you watch a truck commercial narrated by Sam Elliot and think, "I could play the sound track for that on my CBG."

...nothing in you house is sacred.  Baseball bats, hockey sticks, broom sticks all become fair game.

    • Nice set. One question...the double-neck LPG...I'd presume the two necks are tuned differently. What did you use on that one?

      • Both are 3 strings.I did it really funky and it works.

        From the top neck goes

        24   30    52

        lower neck goes 24 16 10

It works,I just tune it to an open D.Just messin around! It was fun to put the heavy string in the middle.

  • You tell your workmates what you're doing on your build and you know they dont really care but you still keen telling them all about it.
    • I am right there with you.  I work with a guy who builds real guitars and all we talk about is our projects.  Good times!
