I fabbed a new one out of 1/8th birch ply, burnt an anchor in (woodburning), rigged a cutout and mounted a flat single coil pup, made a bridge out of small oak molding, plugged it in and OMG it is a completely different voice. Any future pressboard boxes are getting the same treatment. Almost sounds like a full size acoustic. Plus, you have a completely blank slate to decorate....
