wiring help !!!

Hi all, does anyone have schematics (that is the right word, right?) to wire up a humbucker-volume-input jack ? This wiring/electronics thing just seems like voodoo/black magic to me , although somehow I did managed to wire up a little amp with distortion and a single coil with tone and volume successfully. Had to do the later twice to get it right, I don't think vino and soldering mix that well ! many thanx............

This schematic shows a piezo, but the idea is the same. Just replace the humbucker for the piezo in the schematic, and you got it.
